leading up to a thesis

The following works represent sustained investigations that eventually led into the development of my BFA thesis. These three examples are mostly monoprint with collaged elements, including a bit of silkscreen.

Detail Images of Thesis Work

Following are details of the collaged elements from the final series that constitutes my BFA thesis work:

BFA Thesis 2010

The above images show the final selection of works that I included in the Washington University in St. Louis 2010 Printmaking BFA Thesis show, "No Vacancy," at the Des Lee Gallery on April 23rd, 2010.

All of the pieces include figurative woodcuts printed in white ink on black paper, accompanied by collaged and hand drawn elements. All pieces measure 30 x 44".

BFA Thesis 2010

This piece represents that start of a direction that became my BFA thesis work. The image above shows its installation in the studio spaces of the printmaking department. The wall was specially prepared for the installation of this print.
